The IFR32140 is a 3.2V cylindrical LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) cell with 15Ah capacity (48Wh). LiFePO4 is known for its thermal stability, safety and very long cycle life, so it is a strong choice over ordinary Li-ion cells for solar storage and daily-use battery packs. Connect 4 cells in series and you get a 12.8V pack, which is a drop-in replacement for a 12V lead-acid battery. Important Usage Note
LiFePO4 cells need a LiFePO4-specific charger and BMS. Do not use a normal Li-ion (4.2V) charger or a TP4056 module, because 4.2V overcharges the cell and damages it. Full charge is 3.65V per cell (14.6V for 4S). For multi-cell packs, always use a matching BMS (4S, 8S etc.) for balancing and protection, and keep all cells at the same voltage before connecting them. Use proper spot welding, bolted busbars or battery holders for the connection. Soldering directly on the cell body can damage it. Do not short-circuit, puncture or crush the cell.
